We built this vintage hotel room in a Los Angeles studio for a story on professional athletes killing time in their hotel rooms for Sports Illustrated. Check out the sign outside the window. Kobe was fun and totally professional. I love this shot of him whispering. Shot 10/24/97.
For a limited time, this print is available as a tribute to Kobe. 30% of the proceeds will benefit Day One Pittsburgh, an incredible organization set up by my oldest friend in the world, Muzz Meyers. Day One, “works to end the cycle of poverty for single parent families in Pittsburgh by providing housing, education, career support, and community connections so parents can achieve self sufficiency, and their children can succeed in school.” Muzz has a big heart, just like Kobe and uses that compassion to make the world a much better place.
This unique image is printed in my studio on Hahnemuehle Photo Rag Baryta paper to archival specifications and signed by me. Each print comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Please feel free to call or text the studio with any questions: 917-608-2474.
