I shot Jerry Seinfeld a bunch of times for various editorial assignments as well as ads for the TV show. Jerry was totally nice, but like many comedians, not that funny to hang out with. He was into details. We talked about cameras. I think I talked into considering a Leica. He was obsessed with his cars – and had a whole parking garage on the Upper West Side of NY near his apartment to store them. The portrait coming through the paper I recently discovered was taken a day after doing a Muppet book cover with Kermit doing this same idea. I stole from myself.
