Nobu

This picture was taken very early on in my LA residency of the 90’s for LA Style. I went to Nobu’s first (and only, at the time) restaurant La Cienega.   It was in between lunch and dinner, and all the chefs were sleeping under the tables. I got the idea to lay Nobu down for a rest too.  I laid out the tablecloth, covered it with rice and some of his most famous dishes.  After I got him to lay down and close his eyes….I put the crabs on his chest.
