I have been a bit obsessed the past weeks to find a legal pad from my early days at RISD. It contains the handwritten transcript of a talk Duane Michaels gave at MIT (circa 1978). I recorded it on a cheap cassette recorder and transcribed the talk - word for word in hand - over the next few weeks. I always referred to it as my bible!
I found it yesterday. All 60 pages!
Now that I hit the stage to speak I can appreciate even more the genius of Duane. He offered this all up without notes. I did everything I could do to remember every word. I will get this all scanned - but for now, here are the first two pages. Message me if you are interested the whole handwritten talk.
